the apartment was a real gem, beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped. Rhona and Dwayne were attentive hosts and made our stay so comfortable. We loved the beautiful garden and all the local produce left for us. our stay at Thorvald exceeded our expectations during our honeymoon.

What an absolutely fabulous property to have the pleasure to stay in for 3 nights. All modern and very clean and comfortable throughout. Great cooking, dining, entertaining, relaxing & washing facilities too. Very highly well-equipped cooking facilities with everything thought of that you could need. Added bonus: welcome pack full with ideas and information on the property & surrounding area. Perfectly located to get to all the main attractions. Owner met us shortly after arrival and offered use of the hose from the basement to wash the car too - she was very friendly and welcoming. Weather was good enough to sit outside in the lovely garden at the back too. Great huge TV and excellent Wi-Fi. Very comfortable bed and great shower.

The facilities were well thought through and had everything we needed. the comfortable bed and great walk-in shower were a bonus. the garden was lovely and we enjoyed sitting outside in the evening. It was a perfect home away from home. the location was also great for exploring the island and visiting Kirkwall and Stromness.

Such a lovely small house. It is very cozy, beautifully decorated with quality items. We loved everything about it from the lights to art on the walls. It has a very comfortable bed, shades on the window for dark sleeping, plenty storage area. Kitchen was pretty and very functional with everything one can need in it. It also has a good size private grass garden with a gas grill. Location was great to access to all sites. Ring of Bogdar is just 10 minutes drive. Sea is a short walk away. Kirkwall on the other side is easy access.

There didn't seem to be an extract fan to clear the steam in the bathroom - although it did clear after a while. There was a switch that didn't seem to have a function so maybe the fan was not working.
